Homer Halibut Charters: Half Day
Alaska Coastal Marine offers half day halibut fishing for folks of all experience levels. An easy half day fishing trip is one of the most popular activities for people visiting Homer. Get outside in the fresh air on the open ocean in Kachemak Bay. Fishing is a lot of fun and halibut has a universally pleasing, mild taste that everyone seems to love. Everyone visiting should get to enjoy this unique Alaska experience.
Easy Day of Fishing
Our half day halibut charters are an easy way to get out on the ocean, in on the action, and take home 2 halibut per angler in a few hours. Half day charters leave Homer twice daily at 7 AM and Noon. We will spend a total of 5 to 6 hours out on the ocean. Tuesdays and Wednesdays from June 20 through August 15, 2023 are closed to Homer halibut charter fishing. We ask guests to meet the boat 30 minutes prior to departing.
Bring the Family
A half day Homer halibut charter is a great option for groups with children and anyone who might not be up for an entire day trip. It’s a chance to get the whole family together out on the water reeling in fish for a few hours.
What Else to Bring on Homer Halibut Charters
We provide all of the fishing gear needed for Homer halibut charters, but we do recommend that you dress in layers and bring rain gear—even on sunny days. The ocean breeze can be quite cool in Alaska and weather changes can occur.
All anglers will need to purchase a state of Alaska fishing license. A license can be purchased online at Alaska Department of Fish and Game or at most sporting goods stores around Alaska
