Homer Fishing Charter : Full Day Options

Homer fishing charter Alaska Coastal Marine offers several full day charter option. Guests can focus on halibut or salmon entirely, or choose a day trip that combines rockfish with either.

Due to conservation efforts, current fishing regulations do not allow halibut fishing on Wednesdays. Fishing charters booked for Wednesdays will target salmon with the option to upgrade and add rockfish. We accept bookings from late April through Mid-September. Full day charters guests check in at 6 AM at the boat for a 6:30 AM departure; returning between 4 to 6PM. 

Current Bag Limits in Homer:

• Halibut: 2 fish daily bag limit: one fish of any size per day and one fish that is no more than 28 inches in length
  • Closures: All Wednesdays are closed to halibut fishing.
• King salmon: 20 inches or longer: 1 per day, 1 in possession January 1-June 30.

• Other salmon: 6 per day, 6 in possession, only 3 per day, 3 in possession may be coho salmon.

• Rockfish: (Active Emergency Order) 3 per day 6 in possession, of which only 1 per day, 2 in possession can be non pelagic.

Our full day halibut charter is 8-12 hours long. The range for this trip is 55+ miles each way to put us in the most productive and least fished waters. We target trophy-sized halibut on these Homer fishing charters, though halibut are caught in a wide range of sizes.

Full Day Salmon Only

Our full day salmon charter is 8-12 hours long. We will be trolling using downriggers and diving planes to maximize success. Much of the trolling will be around the bluffs towards Anchor Point but we will travel to wherever the fish are. 

Full Day Combo Fishing

Our full day halibut and salmon combo charter is 8-12 hours long and the range will be 30+ miles one way. The weather, tides, fishing success, and angler desires will really set the tone of this trip.
